Bring Your Shovel To Men’s Breakfast
Our next Men’s Breakfast is Saturday, May 25, at 8:00a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Join us for a great breakfast, the fellowship and encouragement of brothers in Christ, and the nourishment of God’s Word. Bring your shovel, because following breakfast we will also be helping Pastor Allan replace a water pipe from the street to his house.
VBS Coming June 24-28
Our 2013 VBS is coming June 24-28, 9a.m.-12p.m. If you are available to help as a volunteer this year, please sign up in the auditorium lobby. More details coming soon.
Mother-Daughter Tea
We will be having our Mother-Daughter Team on Saturday, May 18, 2-4p.m., in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring a food item to share. Also, to keep costs down and avoid an entry fee, we are asking 9 people to host a table for 6 by providing a table cloth, napkins, tea, teapot(s), silverware, tea cups (with our without saucers), plates, creamer and sugar. Sign up to host a table at the display in the auditorium lobby.
Men’s Camp-Out Scheduled
Our Men’s Camp-Out at Moonshine Park along the beautiful Siletz River has been scheduled for September 6-8. Mark your calendars now for a great time of recreation, fellowship, fireside chats, and meaningful time in God’s Word together.
Tuesday Bible Study
Join us on Tuesdays for prayer, hymns and a study from God’s Word. We are currently doing a series on Understanding and Applying the Gospels.
New Sunday Schedule
Our Bible Fellowships begin at 9:30a.m. with classes for all ages, including: Nursery (infants-pre K), Children (K-5), Students (middle, high school and college), Adult 1, and Adult 2 (parents of school age children). Our Worship Service will begin at 11:00a.m. Come be a part of what the Lord is doing at First Baptist and grow in Him together with us!
Adult 2 Bible Fellowship
We now have a new Adult Bible Fellowship for parents of school aged children. This fellowship meets Sundays at 9:30a.m. in the old education wing in the old nursery and will be led by Gale Phillips. For the first three months, Pastor Allan Stensvad will be teaching a special introduction to the Bible and discipleship. If you are a parent of school aged children, this is a great opportunity for you to fellowship with other parents and study God’s Word together.
Pine Ridge Missions
We will be serving again this summer with our missionary Tim Gradin and Northern Canada Evangelical Mission at Pine Ridge Bible Camp in Canada, August 11-16 (August 9-18 with travel). This is a great opportunity for you to be a part of a short term missions trip and minister to teens from the Cree and Dene tribes of Canada. If you are interested in serving on our Pine Ridge Missions Team this year, please sign up on the list in the foyer to the auditorium or contact Pastor Clay for application information.
